The Maui Land & Pineapple Company is a land holding and operating company based in Kahului that is dedicated to supporting agriculture, resorts, and holistic communities on the island. As a publicly traded company, Maui Land & Pineapple is actually listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The company is actually formed by two main subsidiaries that are in charge of different aspects of the business: production & farming and land & resource management. Together, the company is one of Maui’s largest economic contributors as well as one of the island’s largest landholders.

The land portion of Maui Land & Pineapple Company is best known for its role in the operation of the Kapalua Resort community on the western shores of the island. The Kapalua Land Company is also responsible for a large number of the Maui real estate properties in the area. Its holdings include over 700 homes and condominiums, two golf courses, three beaches, and a number of other properties. Maui Pineapple Company, on the other hand, is the nation’s largest grower, processor, and shipper of Hawaiian pineapples. From its beginnings in 1909 to its present operation, the company cultivates and works 4,000 acres of lands and produces just two products:

Maui Gold and Maui Organic Pineapples.
